The LAGENIO K11 4G AI Kids Smartwatch is now available for pre-order. With 2ATM water resistance for normal pool swimming and upgraded NIO AI with vision recognition, K11 brings new ways for children to learn, play, and stay connected.
It also introduces 50 calming audio tracks, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, and over 100 watch faces. These additions build on familiar LAGENIO features such as 4G calling, GPS location support, SOS, and parent-managed contacts.
Designed for children aged 5–12, K11 offers more ways to communicate and explore without the open browser, social media apps, or unrestricted downloads of a smartphone.
For the launch, eligible pre-orders include a FREE LAGENIO Kids Smartwatch Charging Stand, worth €29.99.
Can Kids Swim With the LAGENIO K11? Understanding Its 2ATM Water Resistance
Yes. The LAGENIO K11 has a 2ATM water-resistance rating and is suitable for normal pool swimming and shallow freshwater activities when used according to the product's care instructions.
This is an important difference from the LAGENIO K9, which has an IP68 rating for everyday water exposure. For children who take swimming lessons or regularly visit the pool, K11 supports a wider range of water activities.

What Does 2ATM Mean?
A 2ATM rating indicates resistance to water pressure equivalent to approximately 20 meters of static water depth under specified test conditions. It does not mean the watch is suitable for diving to 20 meters.
Although K11 supports normal pool swimming, there are still limits:
- Avoid diving, jumping into water from a height, and high-pressure water.
- Do not use the watch in seawater, hot springs, saunas, or hot showers.
- Avoid soap, detergents, solvents, and other chemicals that may affect water resistance.
- Do not operate the watch or remove the SIM card while it is wet.
- Avoid continuous immersion beyond the recommended limits.
After swimming, dry the watch with a soft cloth and allow water around the speaker and microphone openings to drain or air-dry naturally. Never charge the watch while it is wet.
Water resistance is not permanent and may decrease after drops, impacts, chemical exposure, or normal wear.
50 Calming Sounds for Bedtime and Quiet Time
After a busy day, children sometimes need a quieter activity before bed.
K11 includes 50 built-in calming audio tracks across seven themes: Sleep, Meditation, Music, Nature, City, Animal, and Brainwave.
Children can listen to gentle nature sounds while reading, play soft music during quiet time, or choose a calming track as part of their bedtime routine.
A built-in timer lets parents manage playback duration, so the sounds don't need to continue throughout the night.
These tracks are intended for relaxation and everyday routines. They aren't a medical treatment or a substitute for healthy sleep habits.

What's New With NIO AI on the K11?
K9 already offers NIO AI learning features. K11 builds on them with AI vision recognition, allowing children to ask questions about objects they see.
AI Vision Recognition: Learn From What You See
Your child spots an unfamiliar flower during a walk. With K11, they can take a photo using the built-in 5MP camera and ask NIO AI to help identify it.
The feature can also help children explore animals, plants, landmarks, and everyday objects.
Rather than typing a question into a search engine, children can use the camera and voice interaction to learn more about their surroundings.
AI recognition isn't always accurate. Important answers should be checked with a parent, teacher, or reliable source.
Ask Questions by Voice
NIO AI also supports voice-based questions and spoken responses.
For example, after identifying a butterfly, a child could ask what butterflies eat or how they develop. Follow-up questions make it easier to explore a topic without typing on a small screen.
It's another way to support curiosity alongside books, school lessons, and conversations with adults.
2GB RAM and 16GB Storage: More Room for Photos and Features
K11 comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB built-in storage, doubling the capacities of K9's 1GB RAM and 8GB storage.
RAM provides resources for the watch's operating system and built-in functions. Storage gives children room to save photos and other supported content.
For kids who enjoy taking pictures of pets, family outings, or interesting things they discover, the larger storage capacity is a practical upgrade.
Actual available storage is lower than the stated capacity because the operating system and built-in software also require space.

Over 100 Watch Faces, Including Dynamic Designs
K11 offers more than 100 watch faces, including dynamic designs.
Children can switch between colorful animations, playful styles, and simpler clock displays depending on what they like.
It's an easy way to personalize the watch without downloading third-party apps.
A 1.78-Inch AMOLED Display With Gorilla Glass 3
K11 features a 1.78-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 368 × 448 pixels.
Its display specifications include:
- Up to 600 nits brightness
- Approximately 325.71 pixels per inch
- 16.7 million colors
- Corning® Gorilla® Glass 3
AMOLED technology provides vivid colors, strong contrast, and clear details for watch faces, photos, and menus.
Corning® Gorilla® Glass 3 adds resistance to everyday wear, although the screen can still be scratched or damaged by impacts.
K9 already features a 1.78-inch AMOLED display with the same resolution, so the screen itself isn't a new upgrade. K11 combines this display with more memory, expanded AI capabilities, and 2ATM water resistance.

A 5MP Camera for Photos, Video Calls, and AI
Like K9, K11 has a 5MP HD camera.
Children can use it to capture photos, make supported video calls, and explore objects through NIO AI vision recognition.
The camera resolution remains the same, but AI vision recognition gives it an additional use on K11.
An 800mAh Battery for Everyday Use
K11 has an 800mAh battery, compared with K9's 700mAh battery.
That's approximately 14% more battery capacity. However, it doesn't guarantee 14% longer battery life.
Actual runtime depends on screen brightness, mobile signal strength, GPS updates, video calls, AI use, and other connected features.
For everyday use, we recommend making charging part of your child's regular routine.
Calling, Messaging, GPS, and Parental Controls
Alongside the new features, K11 retains the communication and location tools families expect from a LAGENIO kids smartwatch.
Three Ways to Stay Connected
K11 supports three calling options:
- 4G Voice Call: Make regular phone calls using a compatible Nano SIM and mobile voice plan.
- Video Call: Talk face-to-face with supported contacts.
- NIO Call: Make internet-based voice calls using Wi-Fi or mobile data.
Parents manage approved contacts through the LAGENIO App. K11 supports up to 50 contacts, compared with K9's limit of 15. That gives families more flexibility to include parents, grandparents, relatives, and other trusted people.
Micro Chat and Picture Sharing
K11 supports Micro Chat, voice messages, and picture sharing.
Children can send short text messages of up to 128 English characters and share pictures with family through supported messaging features.
These options provide more flexibility without requiring WhatsApp or social media apps.
GPS Location, Safe Zones, and SOS
K11 uses GPS, Wi-Fi, LBS, A-GPS, and accelerometer-assisted positioning to support location features.
Parents can check location information and set Safe Zones through the LAGENIO App. The watch also includes an SOS function for contacting designated emergency contacts.
Location accuracy varies with the environment, signal conditions, and positioning method. Indoor and network-based estimates may be less precise than outdoor GPS positioning.
Class Mode and Daily Reminders
K11 supports up to 10 Class Mode schedules to help limit distractions during lessons, along with up to 8 alarms for everyday reminders.
There are no social media apps, open web browser, or unrestricted third-party app downloads. Parents can manage the watch's communication settings through the companion app.

When Does K9 Make Sense?
K9 remains a good choice for families who mainly need calling, GPS location features, an AMOLED display, and NIO AI learning tools.
If your child doesn't need swimming compatibility, extra storage, or picture messaging, K9 may already offer the features your family needs.
When Is K11 Worth Considering?
K11 is worth considering for children who regularly swim, enjoy taking photos, want more watch face options, or would use AI vision recognition to explore the world around them.
It's also a good fit for families who want a larger approved contact list and more messaging options.
The better choice depends on which features your child will actually use.

Frequently Asked Questions About the LAGENIO K11

Yes. K11 uses a compatible physical 4G Nano SIM with voice calling and mobile data. eSIM isn't supported, and data-only SIM cards aren't recommended.
Carrier compatibility depends on the watch's regional version and the mobile provider. For the most reliable experience, we recommend checking compatibility before buying a SIM, especially when using an MVNO or third-party provider.
See our SIM Card Compatibility Guide for general SIM selection advice. Please note that carrier lists for other LAGENIO models should not be treated as confirmed K11 compatibility lists.
Does K11 Require a Monthly LAGENIO Subscription?
No mandatory LAGENIO subscription is required. However, you'll need a compatible mobile plan for cellular calls and mobile data, and your carrier may charge a monthly fee.
Can Children Use WhatsApp or Social Media on K11?
No. K11 doesn't support WhatsApp, social media apps, an open web browser, or unrestricted third-party app downloads. Children can use its built-in communication features with contacts managed by their parents.
When Will K11 Pre-Orders Be Delivered?
K11 pre-orders are currently expected to ship within 1–2 months of purchase. This is an estimated shipping timeframe, not a guaranteed delivery date. Delivery time after dispatch depends on the destination and shipping service.
Is the LAGENIO K11 Right for Your Family?
K11 offers several meaningful upgrades over K9, particularly for children who swim, enjoy taking photos, or want to explore new things with AI vision recognition.
The 50 calming audio tracks, larger memory and storage, and expanded communication features add flexibility without introducing an open browser or social media apps.
If your family mainly needs basic calling and location features, K9 remains a practical option. But if your child would use K11's new capabilities, it's worth a closer look.
The LAGENIO K11 is now available for pre-order, with a free charging stand worth €29.99 included in eligible launch orders.
